I chose to compare and contrast work lamps for office spaces. They are one of the many necessities needed to complete a office.
This light is very simple and could match with a lot of different office spaces. It is around $30 and is my favorite. I like the look as it is very cute in its simplicity. A con could be that not as much light would be given as the opening is more narrow then the other 3 lamps.
This lamp is around $60, in my opinion it is a bit more sophisticated then the other lamp. I would say this lamp would be for more of a middle aged person where as the other one is aimed towards a younger audience.... especially with the price range.
This lamp is $50. This lamp would be used in an elegant office, this one is my favorite out of the three. The only problem is it is not as mobile as the other two.

Vignette
I had a bit off help from my mother for this we took some inspiration off of pictures we found of the internet. The main point for this was the picture in the back. We designed it in a V shape so that we could place everything according to the shape it would make, which helped make it easier to do. Basically we used blacks and whites. We grabbed whatever we thought would look good and placed it. There is not a lot of sentimental pieces in this vignette. Just things that made the room look better. It was in our entrance across from the door.

Curtains
A sheer or net curtain is one that is made from translucent fabric, such as a loosely woven polyester voile or a cotton lace. They look beautiful, light, flowy, and romantic.
Black Out Blinds, are usually refers to a roller blind, blackout blinds have a coating on the rear of the fabric to prevent light penetration. They in my opinion should only be used in business meeting rooms (for when using the projector), or in a home movie theater. I think they are too dark for regular use in homes.
Shutters, each of a pair of hinged panels, often louvered, fixed inside or outside a window that can be closed for security or privacy or to keep out light. They are a super cute fix and the picture I picked are indoor shutters.
Finial:
-A distinctive ornament at the apex of a roof, pinnacle, canopy, or similar structure in a building
-An ornament at the top, end, or corner of an object
Tie Back:
- A decorative strip of fabric or cord, typically used for holding an open curtain off to the side of the window
Curtain Lining:
-A protective piece of cloth attached to the inside of a curtain
Valence:
- type of top treatment for window dressing, the valance is often made from fabric that is shirred on a rod
Grommets:
-An eyelet placed in a hole in a sheet or panel to protect or insulate a rope or cable passed through it or to prevent the sheet or panel from being torn

Lets make this work
The above picture the bed set is $32.99 |
![]() |
This duvet is $89.99 |
This throw is $19.99. |
![]() |
This bed skirt is $30.49. |
![]() |
And one of these shams are $49.95. |
All in all I would have to see the products face to face to determine if they actually look good and match that ugly rug but this is what I think would look good. Overall it would come to an average of $230.

Lamps
Lamps are important in any home. For lighting, or just for decor. They can really add to a room. It is hard though because sometimes some people choose lamps that.... aren't the prettiest. Lamps can be used for many reasons, but mostly they are used to add lighting. For example in bedrooms you would use a bedside lamp to make it easier when at night you would only need a little bit of light, and you don't want to have to get up to turn off any lights. Below are some options that I like and specialized for certain styled rooms. Below is a lamp for a more elegant simple room.
Here is a lamp for a modernized room.
And here is an example of an ugly lamp.
I'm sorry but that is just plain weird. But overall you really do need to be careful when picking lamps as they are an important accessory to any room.

Restauraunt
Joeys has always had a very modern clean look that appeals to most people. With restauraunts you want it to look clean and professional to have people at ease when eating your food. Unfortunatly the chairs are not that comfortable, as they are there more for looks then comfort.

Restauraunts need to have colours that encourage people to eat and talk. Most of the time they also have dimmed lighting to set the mood.

Free blog
As you may or may not have been able to tell I am greatly inspired by the ocean. I love everything about it. Therefore I thought it would be perfect to dedicate this blog to sea shells.

Prevent tablecloths from billowing. Gather shells, sides still attached. Slip string, knotted at both ends, between a shell, and lay across the table. For a centerpiece, gather big shells and scallops. This look is so casual and beachy yet still very beautiful.

Gracefully curvaceous and sculptural, these shells show a note of sophistication to any room. Show off the shell beauties in a large glass, or scatter them around a candle or across a table for a natural looking display. This look is more classy and can really add details.

Remember summer the most be embelishing frames with shells. Arrange your design, then secure the shells with craft glue.
As you can see shells can be used in such a simple manner yet it really adds a classic casual look.
